System Developer BI Systems with Technical System Ownership Responsibility

Join Kustbevakningen, the Swedish Coast Guard, as a System Developer responsible for Business Intelligence (BI) systems with technical system ownership. You will develop and maintain BI solutions that support maritime surveillance and rescue operations, enabling analysis and reporting across the organization.
Main requirements:
  • Academic education in computer science, systems science, software development or equivalent experience
  • Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written
  • Experience with software development for systems handling analysis and reporting
  • Experience coordinating and leading development and testing work
  • Knowledge and several years' experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), Data Warehouse, SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent technologies
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), and technical system maintenance
  • Organized, solution-oriented, with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an agile development team
  • Swedish citizenship, driver's license for passenger cars, passing drug tests and security vetting according to security protection legislation
Responsibilities:
  • Develop new functionality in the BI system and maintain existing functionality
  • Serve as technical system owner alongside functional system owner to manage and develop the BI solution
  • Collaborate closely with system owners of integrated systems to understand needs and coordinate development
  • Participate in an agile maintenance and development team handling analysis, requirements, design, implementation, testing, delivery, operation planning, and maintenance
  • Work according to quality standards, guidelines, and IT security requirements of Kustbevakningen
  • Maintain close cooperation with end users to ensure usability and quality of BI system functionality
