Support and Development Engineer

A technical role combining software development and technical support, focusing on troubleshooting, development of tools and fixes, and collaboration across teams to ensure smooth system and application operations.
Main requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years experience in technical support, DevOps, SRE, or software engineering role
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in one or more languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash, Java, C#)
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking tools (Jira)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for helping people and efficient problem solving
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers and internal teams
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide timely resolutions for support requests
  • Document issues, solutions, and workarounds
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal tools, automation scripts, and system improvements
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams on bug fixes, feature enhancements, and infrastructure improvements
  • Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards
  • Serve as liaison between support, QA, product, and engineering teams for issue resolution
  • Assist in product releases and deployments including testing, documentation, and monitoring
  • Monitor system performance and provide proactive feedback
  • Generate reports on recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions
Required hard skills:

  • Software development lifecycle knowledge
