Support and Development Engineer

A technical role combining software development and technical support, focusing on troubleshooting, development of tools and fixes, and collaboration across teams to ensure smooth system and application operations.
Main requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years experience in technical support, DevOps, SRE, or software engineering role
- Strong programming/scripting skills in one or more languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash, Java, C#)
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking tools (Jira)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for helping people and efficient problem solving
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers and internal teams
- Perform root cause analysis and provide timely resolutions for support requests
- Document issues, solutions, and workarounds
- Design, develop, and maintain internal tools, automation scripts, and system improvements
- Collaborate with software engineering teams on bug fixes, feature enhancements, and infrastructure improvements
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards
- Serve as liaison between support, QA, product, and engineering teams for issue resolution
- Assist in product releases and deployments including testing, documentation, and monitoring
- Monitor system performance and provide proactive feedback
- Generate reports on recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions
Required hard skills:
- Programming and scripting in Python, JavaScript, Bash, Java, C#
- Software development lifecycle knowledge
- Agile methodology experience
- Version control systems, especially Git
- CI/CD pipeline experience
