Main requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 7 years experience as data engineer or data architect
  • Proficiency in designing and building complex data pipelines and processing systems
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, MongoDB
  • Experience building stream processing systems using Kafka
  • Understanding of data governance, ensuring data quality, security and compliance
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow, Airbyte, S3, Hudi, Athena, Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes
  • Familiarity with self-service reporting and machine learning data infrastructure prerequisites
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing company environment
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Trustly's Data Platform on AWS
  • Build and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines from internal and external sources
  • Transform data from one or multiple sources to feed downstream applications
  • Optimize data processes for efficiency and scalability
  • Implement data security measures and access control to protect sensitive information
  • Participate in data governance and compliance to meet regulations
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance for data projects
  • Continuously optimize data architecture to support evolving needs
  • Identify new data use cases and collaborate with stakeholders to realize them
