Network Security Engineer at Bankgirot

Bankgirot is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their growing organization in Stockholm. As part of a company undergoing a major transformation in the Swedish payments market, the engineer will develop future-proof solutions aligned with international standards and regulations while ensuring the current payment system operates securely and stably.
Main requirements:
- Operational experience with network security in technically advanced environments
- Experience with Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), IDS/IPS, Network Detection and Response (NDR), and VPN
- Good understanding of network topology, segmentation, and preferably NSX
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, network anomalies, and intrusion detection
- Experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate management in networks
- Fluency in Swedish and English
- Ability to undergo security clearance under the Security Protection Act
Responsibilities:
- Configure and operate security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, NDR, VPN, PKI, and HSM
- Conduct traffic and event analysis to detect network anomalies and intrusion attempts
- Implement network segmentation and security policies using technologies like NSX to support a Zero Trust strategy
- Document, develop, and ensure quality of routines and controls related to network security
- Participate in security audits
- Collaborate closely with tech leads, operations, development, and security functions
- Proactively and reactively handle implementation, configuration, incident management, and documentation
