Work as an IT technician in the public sector, responsible for daily IT operations, troubleshooting, network management, user support, and ensuring secure IT infrastructure. Opportunity to develop professionally in a supportive environment.
Main requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent plus four (4) years of work experience in similar roles OR higher education in IT (such as a computer engineering degree) or equivalent plus at least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of incident management systems (e.g., Easit GO or ServiceNow).
  • Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the daily IT operation functions smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot and assess faults for optimal resolution.
  • Serve as a local IT technician focusing on operation and development of the authority's local network environment and communication within the same building.
  • Provide support and assistance to users.
  • Manage data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments, occasionally global.
  • Test new products and inform users about updates.
  • Install and configure computers managing network communications such as routers, servers, and workstations.
  • Work on IT operation security, e.g., install firewalls.
  • Install and adapt software for the network.
  • Take technical responsibility for IT equipment in conference rooms, such as video meeting systems.
  • Handle backup management.
  • Administer standard systems like email and calendars.
  • Administer backup, storage, and application servers.
Required hard skills:
  • Deep knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office or equivalent software.
  • Experience with incident management systems such as Easit GO or ServiceNow.
