IT Technician for Support Unit at Swedish Customs (Tullverket)

Tullverket's IT department in Luleå is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented IT technician for the support unit. The role involves providing user support, handling fault reports and troubleshooting for technical infrastructure, IT systems and client services such as computers, printers, and mobile phones. The work includes continuous monitoring of all IT systems and operational environments with alarm management, security log monitoring, internal and external operational information publishing, user guides preparation, and access administration. Shift work around the clock is required, including evenings, nights and weekends. The role demands teamwork, excellent communication in Swedish and English, and a strong interest in information security.
Main requirements:
- Minimum one year of recent (last five years) experience in support or similar work
- Interest in information security
- Ability to express oneself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Capability to work shifts 24/7, including evenings and nights
- Able to commute even when public transport is unavailable
Responsibilities:
- User support and fault handling for technical infrastructure, all IT systems, and client services (computers, printers, mobile phones)
- Monitoring Tullverket's IT systems and operational environments with alarm and security log handling
- Publishing internal and external operational information and IT guides
- Access and authorization administration
- Participate in assignments or projects representing IT support
- Shift work including evenings, nights and weekends ensuring presence on site
Required hard skills:
- Experience in IT support or equivalent
- Information security knowledge
- Monitoring and alarm handling skills for IT infrastructure
- Documentation of cases, procedures and explanatory texts
- Access/authorization administration
Recommended hard skills:
- Post-secondary education in data/IT or related field
- Experience with network communication troubleshooting (e.g., working in NOC/SOC)
- Experience with operational monitoring and alarm management
Soft skills:
- Strong service orientation and communication skills via phone and email
- Flexibility and ability to act quickly in event-driven environment
