IT Security Technician

As an IT Security Technician at Totalförsvarets plikt- och prövningsverk, you will contribute to the safety and security of Swedish society by operating, developing, and managing the authority's technical security solutions. The role combines daily operations with strategic development to ensure IT systems remain protected. You will work both operationally and in development, including monitoring operational status, configuring security settings, developing automated solutions for microservices, interpreting security standards to technical implementations, and improving internal processes.
Main requirements:
- Completed secondary education or higher with focus on technology and/or IT security, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Good proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English.
- Knowledge of IT security regulations such as ISO27001, NIST, GDPR, CIS, STIG.
- Knowledge in identity and access management.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, develop, and maintain the authority's IT security solutions.
- Configure and automate security solutions related to infrastructure and microservices.
- Translate security standards and regulations into practical implementations.
- Develop and improve internal processes related to IT security.
Required hard skills:
- Knowledge of IT security regulations (ISO27001, NIST, GDPR, CIS, STIG).
- Identity and access management expertise.
- Technical skills in configuring and automating security solutions.
- Ability to interpret and apply security standards and regulations.
Recommended hard skills:
- Current certifications in IT security.
- Experience in IT roles such as IT technician, system technician, or network technician.
- Incident handling and forensic experience.
- IT security applications in Kubernetes platforms.
- Knowledge of SIEM, antivirus, vulnerability scanning, and encryption technologies.
Soft skills:
