Information Security Coordinator

We are seeking an engaged Information Security Coordinator to take a comprehensive approach to the information security efforts in our municipality. This role is both strategic and operational, influencing everything from policy to practical application to ensure secure and safe information management within an organization that truly values security.
Main requirements:
  • Relevant university or college education, or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience working with information security
  • Good knowledge of the NIS Directive, GDPR, and security protection legislation
  • Documented knowledge of ISO/IEC 27000 series is meritorious
Responsibilities:
  • Drive, coordinate, and develop the municipality's information security work
  • Provide support and advice to departments across the entire information security area
  • Develop, implement, and follow up on governance documents and guidelines
  • Handle information security incidents and work to minimize damage
  • Collaborate with IT and other functions to improve information and risk management
  • Plan and conduct training initiatives in information security
  • Develop models for information classification and risk analysis
  • Participate in procurement processes and requirements specification towards suppliers
  • Ensure that an information security management system exists and functions
  • Monitor the external environment, coordinate and participate in relevant internal and external networks
  • Act as data protection officer for the municipality's committees
