As a Data Analytics Consultant at Data Distillery, you will create and maintain data solutions to enable customers to make data-driven decisions and optimize their business. You will take a leading role in projects and participate in shaping strategic decisions, working within a warm and open team environment that values collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
Main requirements:
  • Academic background within Industrial Engineering and Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Logistics or similar.
  • Several years of professional experience as Data Engineer or within Business Intelligence.
  • Experience with Data Engineering/ETL development tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, SSIS/SSAS if focused on data engineering.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau is meritorious, preferably combined with ETL development experience.
  • Knowledge of source systems like ERP and CRM (e.g. SAP, Salesforce, Visma) is meritorious.
  • Strong interest in problem solving and technology bridging business and IT.
  • Consultative mindset with focus on building relationships and excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently with good self-leadership.
  • Flexible and positive attitude towards varied and changing projects.
  • Communicative and social skills to establish contacts and collaborate effectively.
  • Curious and driven to develop and be challenged.
Responsibilities:
  • Understand business needs through collaboration with customers and gather requirements.
  • Design data solutions meeting customer goals.
  • Develop, maintain and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses ensuring accuracy, persistence, and accessibility of data.
  • Design and implement data models supporting reporting and analytics requirements with optimal performance.
  • Create user-friendly dashboards and reports to help customers visualize and interpret data effectively.
  • Work closely with customers to provide guidance and support for effective use of data solutions.
Required hard skills:
  • Data engineering and ETL development skills.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server or Microsoft solutions like Fabric, Azure Synapse, SSIS/SSAS.
  • Data modeling and data warehouse design.
  • Data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau.
  • Understanding of ERP and CRM source systems (SAP, Salesforce, Visma) is a plus.
