This role is for a Senior IT Project Manager at Sopra Steria, a leading Nordic digital transformation company. The job combines strong project management skills with leadership, focusing on delivering successful IT projects, managing teams, and meeting client needs.
Main requirements:
  • Proven ability to lead IT projects to completion under challenging conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of project methodologies and ability to select appropriate approaches for risk and financial management.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and make difficult decisions.
  • Experience with technology, people management, and delivering impactful results.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in Swedish and English.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive major establishment projects and act as Service Delivery Manager or senior project manager depending on assignment and client needs.
  • Manage operational control and strategic delivery aspects of projects.
  • Use leadership and experience to create successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with experts in IT infrastructure and other disciplines.
Required hard skills:
  • Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, PMP, or SAFe are considered hygiene factors.
  • Strong knowledge of various project management methods and frameworks.
  • Experience with risk management and financial control within projects.
  • Familiarity with modern IT infrastructures (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Higher education, preferably in IT or a related field.
  • Experience in digital transformation projects.
  • Certification and further education relevant to the role and services offered.
