Join Hedin IT AB as a Senior Data Engineer within the Business Intelligence team to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance data platforms supporting enterprise-wide analytics at Hedin Mobility Group.
Main requirements:
  • Academic degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Several years of experience in data engineering with large-scale enterprise data platforms.
  • Strong skills in SQL and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks).
  • Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Apache Airflow, dbt, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Understanding of lakehouse architectures including Delta Lake and Medallion principles.
  • Experience in data modeling, performance tuning, and data governance for reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Architect and improve lakehouse architecture using Databricks, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and performance.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security with best practices in monitoring, validation, and compliance.
  • Optimize data performance and cost-efficiency by tuning queries, storage, and compute resources for enterprise workloads.
  • Standardize and automate data integration across multiple internal and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to structure data for analytics and reporting.
  • Mentor team members to foster knowledge-sharing and best practices.
