Area Specialist Alarm

We are looking for a technically interested problem solver who thrives close to operations. This role focuses on alarm systems and contributes to supporting and developing the technical healthcare environment at Karolinska University Hospital.
Main requirements:
  • Experience working with telephony, emergency alarms, or patient signaling systems.
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 and basic IT infrastructure including firewalls and servers.
  • Experience with issue management systems and knowledge of ITIL.
  • Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience working in a structured way with troubleshooting.
  • Experience with supplier management.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as operational area specialist and qualified requester for IT business areas focusing on telephony, emergency alarms, and call signaling.
  • Provide daily support to staff via phone, remote tools, and on-site.
  • Handle cases according to ITIL processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Work with configuration, analysis, installation, service, support, and lifecycle management of alarm and telephony systems.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, incident and problem management, documentation, and escalation as needed.
