An IT Technician role involving responsibility for daily IT operations and network management within the public sector. Main requirements:
- High school education or equivalent plus four years of relevant work experience, or
- University degree in IT (for example, computer engineering) or equivalent IT education plus at least two years of relevant work experience
- Very good knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networking, communication, and information security
- Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
- Knowledge of incident management systems (e.g., Easit GO or ServiceNow)
- Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both oral and written
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily IT operations function properly
- Troubleshoot issues and assess best ways to resolve them
- Act as a local IT technician focusing on local network environment and communication within the building
- Provide support and assistance to users
- Manage data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments, sometimes globally
- Test new products and inform users about updates
- Install and configure computers managing network communication such as routers, servers, and workstations
- Work to secure IT operations, e.g., install firewalls
- Install software and adapt it to the network
- Technically manage IT equipment in conference rooms, including video meeting systems
- Manage backup operations
- Administer standard systems like mail and calendar
- Administer backup, storage, and application servers
Required hard skills:
- Computer hardware and peripherals expertise
