System Developer - IFS

Techster Solutions is currently in an exciting growth phase and is looking for experienced colleagues, initially someone with at least 10+ years of experience to strengthen the team. The role offers a varied environment where you can utilize your skills and set your own limits on development. Sharing knowledge and helping colleagues grow is important. The position focuses on IFS system development and migration expertise, involving analysis, design, implementation, automation, collaboration, documentation, testing, and support tasks related to data migration within IFS.
Main requirements:
- At least 10 years of work experience in database management and SQL (Oracle)
- At least 10 years of work experience in development within the IFS business system
- At least 10 years of work experience in scripting
- At least 8 years of work experience with APIs related to IFS
- At least 5 years of experience working in projects using agile DevOps methods
- At least 5 years of experience documenting and preparing materials for data migrations
- At least 5 years of experience analyzing data and managing data quality issues
- Education in computer science and/or a master's degree in IT/data or at least 11 years of equivalent work experience as assessed by the employer
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing and new structures and data sources to identify migration requirements and risks
- Design and implement strategies for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security during migrations
- Automate migration processes using scripts and tools
- Collaborate with IFS administration, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth migration
- Document migration processes, technical solutions, and lessons learned
- Document from a delivery perspective ensuring quality related to time and error management
- Conduct testing and verify that migrated data is accurate and usable
- Handle and resolve issues and errors arising during migrations
- Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders before, during, and after migrations
