Lead the technical development and architecture of a High-Performance Computing (HPC) platform, focusing on scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure integrating compute, networking, and storage components.
Main requirements:
  • Minimum five years of experience as an infrastructure architect or similar role.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Linux-based infrastructure and systems engineering.
  • Experience in complex environments like data center operations, enterprise systems, or cloud platforms.
  • Relevant academic degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related technical field.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop the technical architecture of HPC infrastructure.
  • Set standards and routines for system management, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Support the technical development and structure of the local infrastructure team.
  • Lead implementation and integration of compute, storage, and network components.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align architecture with customer and business needs.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous platform and process development.
Required hard skills:
  • Linux system administration in large-scale or high-availability environments.
  • Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Virtualization technologies, preferably including KVM.
  • Storage technologies, preferably including CEPH.
  • High-speed networking technologies, preferably including InfiniBand.
  • Scripting in Bash and Python.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Programming knowledge in Go or Java.
  • Experience in mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions.
