This Junior System Administrator role focuses on Linux system administration, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), supporting stable, secure and scalable infrastructure for Skatteverket and other government agencies.

  • Relevant knowledge and experience with RHEL or other Linux distributions including development, management and maintenance
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, test, harden and package new releases of RHEL operating system for Skatteverket and other authorities
  • Develop scripts and automation to improve patch management and user experience
  • Work in a DevOps team to develop and maintain configurations, code and automations on Linux platforms
  • Build automations for self-service, monitoring and configuration in a complex environment serving multiple authorities
  • Provide support, advice and knowledge sharing within incident management and advanced troubleshooting
  • Contribute to a stable, secure and scalable IT infrastructure
Required hard skills:
  • Linux system administration (especially RHEL)
  • Scripting and automation, preferably Bash
  • Configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible
  • Version control systems like Git
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools
  • Knowledge of patch management and system hardening processes
