Lead and coordinate the management of IT systems supporting communications and operations for about 5,000 employees and over 30,000 children, students, and guardians in Västerås municipality's Child and Education Administration. Ensure system stability, accessibility, and development aligned with organizational needs while leading system management teams and collaborating with stakeholders and vendors.
Main requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience leading system management in a large, complex organization, preferably public sector
  • Strong initiative and decision-making skills even in challenging situations
  • Structured and goal-oriented work style
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure, system management and support processes
  • Experience coordinating or leading second-line support teams

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the management of school and preschool IT systems
  • Manage a team working with system management, development, and second-line support
  • Plan work based on pm3 model, sprint planning and monthly prioritization
  • Maintain active dialogue with operational stakeholders and external vendors
  • Ensure high quality and compliance with SLA agreements
  • Develop long-term plans in collaboration with IT strategists
  • Follow up on contracts and costs
