IT Support Technician for Servicedesk

Strängnäs municipality's IT and digitalization department is in an exciting development phase focusing on digitalization, innovative solutions, and security and preparedness issues. The IT and digitalization department is part of the municipal executive board's departments, divided into three closely collaborating units: IT Operations and Infrastructure, IT Servicedesk, and Strategy and Digital Development. The department is responsible for the municipality's IT infrastructure and supports municipal operations in digital transformation. Currently seeking a new colleague for the Servicedesk team.
Main requirements:
  • 2-5 years of current experience in IT support to users via tickets, phone, and onsite visits.
  • Good understanding of Windows environment and Office 365.
  • Experience administering user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
  • Current experience supporting hardware and software on computers, phones, and tablets.
  • Experience with installation and rollout of computers.
  • Experience administering mobile subscriptions.
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Valid B driving license.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incident resolution.
  • Troubleshoot both hardware and software issues.
  • Manage user accounts.
  • Contact suppliers as needed.
  • Escalate more complex cases to next support level.
  • Contribute to documentation of procedures and solutions in the knowledge database.
