IT Security Specialist in Cyber Security

As an IT Security Specialist at Combitech, you will help organizations protect their systems and information flows from hackers and cybercriminals, working with a team to develop and implement security solutions using DevSecOps practices. This role requires strong expertise in Linux, scripting, security frameworks, and secure system design, contributing to projects mainly in defense, government, and industry sectors.
Main requirements:
  • University or college degree in IT security, system development, or extensive experience in IT operations with focus on security and compliance.
  • Excellent Linux skills (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL).
  • Proficient scripting skills in Python and Bash.
  • Experience with SE-Linux and Linux security features.
  • Knowledge in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate management.
  • Security clearance obtained through successful background and register checks due to defense confidentiality requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with customers and internal teams (security specialists, architects) to develop secure IT solutions.
  • Apply DevSecOps frameworks to security design, secure development, and code review.
  • Harden operating systems and improve network security.
  • Automate security testing and security processes.
  • Contribute expertise in secure environments both on premise and cloud solutions.
Required hard skills:
  • Linux system administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL).
  • Scripting languages: Python, Bash.
  • SE-Linux and Linux security functions.
  • PKI and certificate management.
  • Security testing and automation.
