DevOps Engineer for AI Center

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a stable, efficient, and secure environment for data and analytics platforms within Region Uppsala's AI Center. You will work on automation, continuous integration, and delivery to improve development and deployment processes, ensuring infrastructure scalability, availability, and security throughout the AI system lifecycle.
Main requirements:
  • University degree in IT, computer science, or relevant professional experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working with infrastructure platforms
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain a stable, efficient, and secure environment for data and analytics platforms
  • Work with automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to improve development and deployment processes
  • Ensure AI Center infrastructure is scalable, available, and secure throughout the AI system lifecycle (development, implementation, deployment, decommissioning)
  • Monitor and manage performance, availability, and resource usage of AI platforms and AI systems
Required hard skills:
  • Experience working with infrastructure platforms
  • Knowledge of automation and continuous integration and delivery processes
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with container architecture and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with system development enabling Generative AI to users
  • Experience in tuning language models or developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
Soft skills:
  • Self-driven and responsible with ability to structure and drive processes independently
  • Motivated and effective despite setbacks and disappointments
  • Initiative taker who starts activities and achieves results
  • Good problem-solving skills; able to analyze and decompose complex issues
