A postdoctoral position focusing on developing biology-informed robust and generative AI methods to analyze noisy and unlabeled bioscientific data, particularly inferring gene regulatory networks from gene expression data, within a collaborative research environment at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
Main requirements:
  • PhD degree or equivalent completed by the time of employment decision
  • Doctorate in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or related field
Responsibilities:
  • Develop biology-informed robust AI and generative AI methods for analysis of unlabeled and noisy biological data
  • Focus on inferring gene regulatory networks from noisy gene expression level data
  • Conduct independent research and collaborate with Prof. Erik Sonnhammer's group at SciLife Lab and Assist. Prof. Martina Scolamiero's group at KTH Mathematics Department
  • Co-supervise master and PhD students
  • Opportunity to teach and develop courses
Required hard skills:
  • PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or related area
  • Deep understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, machine learning, deep learning, generative AI methods such as GANs, normalizing flows, diffusion models
  • Programming skills in Python or Matlab
