Platform Engineer

Svenska Spel is hiring Platform Engineers to join their Core Platform Dev team. The role involves working with open source technologies, cloud, and modern tech to deliver valuable platform services supporting the entire organization. You will work with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Backstage, GitHub, Codefresh and other CNCF landscape tools, focusing on DevEx and CI/CD. The team is collaborative and driven, and values simplicity, learning, and impactful results.
Main requirements:
- Several years of work experience as a system developer or Platform Engineer
- Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Responsibilities:
- Explore new technologies and work with open source
- Take responsibility for the platform and deliver modern platform services to Svenska Spel's organization
- Work with platform services involving Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Backstage, GitHub, Codefresh and other CNCF tools
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including team coach, tech lead, product owner, system developers, and other Platform Engineers
- Capture business needs, gather feedback and translate into technical solutions
Required hard skills:
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with one or more programming languages: C#, Go, JavaScript, Python
- Experience with Helm and/or Kustomize
- Experience with CI flows in GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
- Experience with CD flows in ArgoCD and/or Flux
- Experience working with cloud services including migrating systems from on-prem to cloud-native solutions
