IT Technician with Expertise in Operations and Networks

Work as an IT technician within the public sector, handling daily IT operations, network environment maintenance, user support, and ensuring IT security. This role offers a chance to take responsibility and grow your IT skills in a supportive environment.
Main requirements:
  • Secondary education or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant work experience, OR higher education in IT (e.g., computer engineering) or equivalent plus at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Very good knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of issue tracking systems (e.g., Easit GO or ServiceNow).
  • Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily IT operations function properly.
  • Troubleshoot and assess faults to determine best resolutions.
  • Work as a local IT technician managing and developing the organization’s local network environment and intra-building computer communication.
  • Provide user support and assistance.
  • Manage data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments, sometimes global.
  • Test new products and inform users about updates.
  • Install and configure computers handling network communication such as routers, servers, and workstations.
  • Enhance IT operations security, e.g., installing firewalls.
  • Install software and tailor it to the network.
  • Technically manage IT equipment in conference rooms, e.g., video meeting systems.
  • Handle backups.
  • Administer standard systems such as email and calendar.
  • Administer backup, storage, and application servers.
Required hard skills:
