Technician (Support) at MUST

As a Support Technician at the Military Intelligence and Security Service (MUST) within the Swedish Armed Forces, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing IT-related issues. The role involves providing fast and service-oriented support, troubleshooting hardware, software and network problems, managing technical equipment and accounts, documenting case resolutions, supporting onboarding/offboarding processes, escalating complex issues, project participation, process optimization, and user training. The position contributes to Sweden's security in an important and stimulating environment with opportunities for competence development and work-life balance.
Main requirements:
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products such as Office and Windows, including network troubleshooting.
  • Strong service focus and structured work approach.
  • Experience with incident management systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (AD).
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written form.
  • Prior experience in IT support or equivalent.
  • Ability to work proactively to minimize future incidents.
  • Capacity to document and update solutions and knowledge databases.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, register, categorize, handle, and follow up on incoming IT cases.
  • Troubleshoot and solve hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Respond to fault reports, follow up and provide feedback to users.
  • Manage technical equipment and systems including user accounts, email, permissions, printing, telephony, and peripherals.
  • Share information and give instructions regarding delivered products and services.
  • Document solutions and update the knowledge base.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to IT.
  • Escalate complex cases when necessary.
  • Participate in projects.
  • Drive and optimize support group responsibilities and processes.
  • Train users and colleagues.
Required hard skills:
