Bankgirot is seeking a Workplace Infrastructure Engineer for their growing organization in Stockholm. The role involves developing and maintaining a secure, stable, and modern client environment including digital workplace solutions and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). The candidate will work closely with technical operations, internal teams and external vendors to manage workplace IT services, application packaging, technical support, and ongoing improvements to ensure efficient and secure digital work environments.
Main requirements:
  • Experience with IT workplace services bridging infrastructure, systems, and end-users
  • Good understanding of modern client environments including application packaging, configuration, and troubleshooting in physical and virtual environments (VDI)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, license management, and application lifecycle management
  • Ability to perform 2nd-line technical support including handling permissions, licenses, and incident escalations
  • Experience with workplace applications packaging and deployment adhering to security requirements and architecture guidelines
  • Competence in proactive monitoring, documentation, and long-term operational follow-up
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative, responsible approach to driving improvements
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Willingness to undergo security clearance according to Swedish Security Protection Act
Responsibilities:
  • Operate, configure and further develop workplace services including traditional and cloud-based (M365, client environments, VDI, mobility, remote access, print services)
  • Manage and package workplace-related applications ensuring compliance with security, architecture and guidelines
  • Provide 2nd-line technical support handling permissions, licenses, incidents and escalation coordination
  • Contribute to roadmap development and continuous improvements via requirements management, documentation, proactive monitoring, and operational follow-up
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of technical solutions
Required hard skills:
