Virtualization Specialist in VMware

We are looking for an experienced Virtualization Specialist to work with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance/performance optimization of the VMware virtualization platform. The role involves analyzing, structuring, proposing, further developing, and implementing infrastructure and services that align with the organization's needs while ensuring architectural goals are met. The candidate will also continuously work with requirements gathering, market monitoring, and prioritization.
Main requirements:
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience with VMware
- VCP certification (VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization) required
- Strong knowledge of VMware products including NSX-T, NSX-V, vSAN, vSphere, ESXI, ESX, and vRealize
- Good knowledge of patching, monitoring, backup and restore operations
- Proficient in Windows Powershell and/or other scripting languages
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot VMware virtualization platforms
- Maintain and optimize performance of VMware infrastructure
- Analyze, structure, propose, and implement infrastructure and services that support organizational needs
- Ensure infrastructure supports the architectural target state
- Conduct requirements gathering, market monitoring, and prioritization activities
Required hard skills:
- VMware virtualization platform expertise
- VCP certification
- Knowledge of VMware NSX-T, NSX-V, vSAN, vSphere, ESXI, ESX, vRealize
- Patching, monitoring, backup/restore processes
- Windows Powershell or scripting languages
Recommended hard skills:
- Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE or similar
- Certifications in Veeam, Red Hat or similar
