Join Region Uppsala's IT department to help build and manage a next-generation high-performance computing cluster supporting research and analysis activities. This role involves planning, setting up, and configuring the cluster's hardware and software, ensuring stable operation, automation, monitoring, and security.
Main requirements:
  • Experience in Linux system administration
  • Strong technical understanding of networking and system operations
  • Experience in automation
  • Ability to document and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, set up, and configure the high-performance computing cluster
  • Install operating systems, network configurations, storage solutions, and job schedulers
  • Manage operation, automation, monitoring, and security of the system environment
  • Collaborate closely with operations representatives and IT specialists
  • Contribute to documentation, user support, and training materials
