Backend Engineer

Looking for experienced Software Engineers to develop production-level microservices in the Fintech group at Wolt.
Main requirements:
- Experience with Kotlin or other JVM backend languages like Java or Scala, or strong learning ability from other backgrounds
- Ability to develop production-level microservices with focus on scalability and availability
- Experience handling the entire development cycle up to production
- Strong collaboration skills and communication with team members
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities:
- Develop production-level microservices primarily using Kotlin
- Work across the whole development process including business logic, testing, database & data streaming, CI/CD, analytics, cloud
- Participate in architectural decisions as a team
- Support fintech solutions that enable automated money flows and financial products
- Collaborate with diverse engineering teams Woltwide
- Continuously learn and teach within the team
Required hard skills:
- Kotlin
- Microservices development
- JVM backend experience (Java or Scala)
- Production deployment and scalable system design
- Database and data streaming technologies
Recommended hard skills:
- Knowledge of Python and Go
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis
