System Technician Microsoft 365

The Swedish Parliamentary Administration is seeking a System Technician to join their Application Operations and Chamber Support section, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of applications in the parliament's IT environments, including Microsoft 365 services.
Main requirements:
  • Relevant post-secondary education within IT or equivalent experience.
  • Solid experience with operation, monitoring, deployment, and maintenance of Microsoft 365 services, including Defender, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID.
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, be flexible, and attentive to others.
  • Strong interest in technology and valuing routine and documentation.
  • Swedish citizenship and ability to pass security clearance due to security classification of position.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and support Microsoft 365 environment as part of an engaged team.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain IT systems to prevent incidents.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, fault correction, and analysis of issues in a complex, mission-critical IT environment when incidents occur.
  • Collaborate continuously and closely with colleagues both within and outside own organization.
  • Perform some evening work and potentially on-call duties.
Required hard skills:
  • Operation and maintenance of Microsoft 365 services (Defender, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID).
  • Incident management and troubleshooting in enterprise IT environments.
  • Good understanding of network fundamentals.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Operation of on-premises Microsoft environments.
  • Experience with Purview, PowerShell, IIS, Exchange, SharePoint, or MS-SQL.
Soft skills:
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and responsive to others.
  • Genuine interest in technology.
  • Attention to routines and documentation.
