System Study Engineer for HVDC System Performance

As a System Study Engineer in the HVDC System Performance Department, you will work on the overall performance of HVDC transmission links, including interactions with AC networks and stability studies. You will be involved in system studies throughout various project lifecycle stages, working collaboratively with skilled professionals worldwide, contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
Main requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, power systems, engineering physics, or related field.
  • Experience level open to both fresh graduates and experienced power system studies engineers.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as PSCAD/EMTDC, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab, and/or ETAP.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English; Swedish language skills are a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with independence, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative and communicative personality.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform studies, analysis, and optimization of system dynamic performance for HVDC deliveries including control algorithm development.
  • Contribute to testing of control and protection systems both in-house and during commissioning worldwide.
  • Participate in various stages of HVDC project lifecycle including marketing support, tenders, and order projects.
  • Collaborate with specialists across disciplines involved in project and tender deliveries.
