System Specialist IT

Responsible for robust, efficient, and value-creating development and management of systems supporting business processes focused on outage planning, capacity management, and modeling of system operations and future power systems.
Main requirements:
  • Higher education in IT with at least 120 ECTS credits / 180 university credits or extensive knowledge and skills acquired through at least 10 years of work experience in the IT sector.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in IT with specialization in application or infrastructure within the last 10 years.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in system and application management within the last 10 years.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience working with business-critical or similar operationally critical systems in the last 10 years.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance activities assigned by the IT Maintenance Leader or other persons connected to the maintenance organization.
  • Plan and implement user-requested changes according to prioritization.
  • Administer system fault reports and be responsible for solutions.
  • Maintain and carry out necessary upgrades and maintenance (LCM management).
  • Maintain and further develop the system according to business requirements.
  • Prepare recommendations for decisions regarding commissioning changes.
  • Coordinate system testing.
  • Establish ongoing maintenance documentation.
  • Report status and deviations on activities to the IT Maintenance Leader.
  • Act as the first escalation point regarding IT incidents for assigned systems/technology areas and escalate deviations from agreed commitments and SLA.
Required hard skills:
  • System and application management experience.
  • Experience with business-critical or operationally critical systems.
  • Extensive IT sector experience with applications and infrastructure.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience in similar roles such as application specialist, system specialist/responsible.
  • Experience working with master data/structural data, business-critical real-time systems, e.g., real-time DB systems or other industrial systems.
  • Experience in the electricity sector.
  • Experience with integration-heavy systems.
  • Experience with automated testing.
