System Specialist / Administrator in Physical Security

Responsible for operational management and development of access control and alarm systems within a critical societal function, acting as a bridge between technology and business operations to maintain and enhance physical security.
Main requirements:
  • Higher education in relevant technical field or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience in physical security, especially access control management
  • Understanding and experience working in complex organizations
  • Experience with Omnis systems (required) and Total systems (meritorious)
  • Technical understanding combined with ability to work closely with business operations
  • Experience in system management and working with subsystems within access control and alarm
Responsibilities:
  • Operate as a close link between technology and business with operational responsibility
  • Manage and develop access control and alarm systems (e.g. Omnis and Total)
  • Receive and manage requirements from the organization ensuring correct system actions
  • Develop and conduct training in physical security systems
  • Identify and articulate needs closely with business units
  • Handle technical actions related to physical security in a structured and long-term manner
  • Contribute to change communication and information dissemination
  • Support follow-up, environmental scanning, and risk analysis within the area
Required hard skills:
  • System management and administration of access control and alarm systems
  • Experience with Omnis system
  • Technical understanding relevant to physical security systems
  • Knowledge of physical security and access control principles
  • Ability to develop and deliver training related to physical security systems
