SMHI is seeking a System Integrator to join the Digital Workplace unit responsible for developing and managing enterprise support systems used by all at SMHI. The role mainly involves administration and development of Sitevision (the platform used for intranet and smhi.se) and the central document management system Alfresco, along with supporting other systems within the unit's scope. The position requires experience integrating, maintaining, and operating procured systems in a structured IT environment, with a focus on Linux platforms. The role contributes to enabling an efficient and secure digital workplace for SMHI employees.
Main requirements:
  • Several years of experience integrating, maintaining, and operating procured systems on Linux platforms
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience working in a structured and segmented IT environment
  • Academic education in a related field or equivalent education/experience assessed by SMHI
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop Sitevision platform for SMHI's intranet and website
  • Maintain and develop the central document management system Alfresco
  • Support other digital workplace systems like e-learning platforms
  • Integrate externally developed systems into SMHI's IT environment considering operational, security, and user perspectives
  • Collaborate with the department and IT organization to ensure system fit and delivery quality
Required hard skills:
  • Linux system administration
  • System integration and maintenance of procured systems
  • Swedish and English language proficiency (written and spoken)
Recommended hard skills:
  • CMS experience (Sitevision or WordPress)
  • Automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Foreman
  • Knowledge of system/software components like Node.js, Tomcat, Varnish, Windows integration, RPM packaging
  • Database experience with PostgreSQL or Cassandra
  • Document management systems such as Alfresco
  • Experience within the public sector and understanding of LOU (Public Procurement Act)
  • Agile working methodologies
  • Knowledge of services and systems common to digital workplace environments such as Exchange, networking, authentication, IT infrastructure
  • Certifications/licenses in automation and Linux
