Engineer responsible for the design and development of Energy Storage Systems for electromobility, combining hardware and software solutions in a cross-functional team.
Main requirements:
  • 5 years experience in system design/architecture within automotive systems
  • Experience in development of Electrical Propulsion Systems
  • Experience with battery technologies/systems in electric vehicles
  • Minimum 3 years experience in design within Energy Storage Systems
  • Good understanding of battery pack building blocks and system attributes affecting battery and vehicle systems
  • Experience in defining and balancing requirements between stakeholders and technical solutions
  • Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
Responsibilities:
  • Work with concept design from early phases through product development and maintenance
  • Specify, collect, and break down requirements
  • Collaborate with technology and system teams to define system design to meet requirements
  • Balance technical solutions and support verification
  • Participate in technical decisions regarding projects and suppliers
  • Ensure continuous quality improvement
Required hard skills:
  • Master's degree in control systems, mechatronics, electrical engineering, signal processing, or engineering physics
  • Strong aptitude in abstract thinking, mathematical modeling, system theoretic analysis, and model-based control design
  • High proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink modeling and analysis
  • Embedded software development experience for control applications (5+ years)
  • Knowledge of TargetLink, C/C++, Embedded SW/HW, Control Theory, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), driver license C/D
  • Familiarity with CAN, LIN, ISO 26262, J1939, AUTOSAR, Systems Engineering
Recommended hard skills:
