Main requirements:
  • Deep experience as a data scientist or similar role working with video analytics datasets, preferably in safety-critical or surveillance contexts
  • Skilled in accuracy performance evaluation of analytics use cases
  • Practical knowledge of evaluation metrics and best practices for AI model, algorithm and use case testing and validation
  • Detail-oriented and hands-on with annotation guideline creation and working with annotation tools like CVAT
  • Software savvy, comfortable with Python or dashboard tools
  • Able to translate evaluation data into actionable insights

Responsibilities:
  • Understand functionality and accuracy of analytics use case solutions
  • Evaluate AI model and use case accuracy performance on real-world scenario data sets and key metrics
  • Craft, curate, and maintain video evaluation datasets and metrics covering diverse scenes and use cases
  • Define, update and implement annotation guidelines reflecting realistic conditions
  • Perform annotation quality control collaborating with annotators using tools like CVAT
  • Advocate for dataset completeness including edge cases and safety-critical events
  • Evaluate AI model outputs using metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, confusion matrix, false positive/negative rates
  • Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers and algorithm developers to translate evaluation insights into improved use case performance
  • Contribute to data-driven AI model and algorithm debugging to identify data or algorithm limitations
  • Mentor and coach team members
Required hard skills:
