We are seeking two Software Engineers to join Zalando, an international e-commerce company focused on innovative retail solutions. You will develop and operate large-scale backend systems ensuring timely order fulfillment and excellent customer experiences. This role involves working with technologies like Java, Kotlin, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch in a collaborative and creative culture.
Main requirements:
- Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3-6 years professional experience in software engineering
- Solid experience with Java or Kotlin and API development
- Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL and event-driven architectures
- Interest or experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch
- Strong problem-solving skills and passion for building scalable solutions
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-performance, low-latency systems for data streaming and processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale fulfillment and customer experience solutions
- Own applications from development through deployment and monitoring
- Innovate and scale platform in complex environments
- Contribute actively to new feature development and improvements
