Senior UX Designer

Combitech in Stockholm is seeking a Senior UX Designer to strengthen their leading UX team. This role involves developing engaging and intuitive user experiences and communicating the value of design solutions. Experience in selling UX design to customers and previous consultancy experience is desired. The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of technology with clients mainly in defense and automotive industries, along with other exciting sectors.
Main requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in UX design
  • University degree in interaction design, industrial design, cognitive science or similar
  • Previous consultancy experience with business mindset and experience in pitching UX competencies to clients
  • Extensive experience in initiating and leading workshops, managing strategic and development projects
  • Experience in user-centered design within complex organizations
  • Proficient in design tools such as Figma and knowledgeable in accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Independent, proactive, strategic thinker
  • Experience coaching and inspiring other designers and teams is a plus
  • Must pass a security clearance with background check due to defense confidentiality requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a design team
  • Engage in dialogue with clients to advocate UX design where it is not always self-evident
  • Lead the design process from idea to delivery
  • Ensure world-class user experiences for clients
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into creative and functional design solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design seamlessly with technical and business goals
Required hard skills:
  • UX design with 10+ years experience
  • University degree in relevant design or cognitive field
  • Consultancy experience including business development and client engagement
  • Workshop leadership and project management
  • User-centered design in complex organizations
  • Proficiency with design tools like Figma
  • Accessibility (WCAG) knowledge
