Engineering Manager - Data & Analytics

Lead and cultivate a collaborative Data & Analytics engineering community, staying hands-on with technical solutions and guiding professional growth within a dynamic, global technology company.
Main requirements:
- Extensive background as data engineer, BI consultant, or similar roles
- Experienced in databases, data warehouse solutions, and Azure platform
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Prior experience in leading teams or projects
- Familiarity with best practices and technical know-how in Data & Analytics
- Versatile with different technologies, agile methods, and technical solutions
- Passionate about team well-being and development
- Communicative, flexible, and able to create trust-based relationships
- Comfortable in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
- Create and cultivate a community based on knowledge sharing and collaboration
- Lead by example as both a strong leader and hands-on technical contributor
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Spend at least 80% of time working on various projects
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback with clear objectives
- Resolve disputes among employees and technical discussions with clients
- Find and allocate fulfilling assignments globally and locally
- Balance team workload to meet utilization goals
- Ensure adherence to company processes and standards
- Share relevant information and promote positive culture within the team
- Collaborate globally within competence area and locally within Engineering
Required hard skills:
- Experience as a manager, team lead or similar leadership role
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala
- Broad knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture concepts and modern solutions like Medallion or Lakehouse architecture
- Understanding of DevOps processes, version control, and CI/CD practices
- Experience with Azure analytics platforms like Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks, or comparable cloud data services (AWS, GCP)
