Senior Supervision Specialist in Cybersecurity

The Swedish Food Agency is seeking multiple specialists, including senior roles, to join its new cybersecurity supervision unit. The role involves supervising cybersecurity and resilience in critical societal sectors, with responsibilities including reviewing complex IT and OT environments, developing regulations, providing guidance, and communicating with regulated industries. The position demands expertise in information and IT security or OT system security, experience with relevant standards and certifications, and strong collaboration and analytical skills. The position is based in Uppsala with some travel within Sweden.
Main requirements:
  • Several years experience in information and IT security or OT system security
  • Experience implementing or auditing security measures according to standards such as ISO27001, ISA/IEC 62443 or equivalent
  • Experience with operational implementation or management of security in complex technical environments
  • Proficiency in Swedish language, both spoken and written
  • Good English skills
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • High integrity and ability to act as a civil servant
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with understanding of systems and processes
  • Good pedagogical skills and willingness to share knowledge
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct supervision of cybersecurity across IT environments, process environments, and cyber-physical systems
  • Review governance of information security efforts
  • Develop regulations and guidance related to cybersecurity
  • Communicate and collaborate with other authorities and private sector actors within supervised industries
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the unit and agency's cybersecurity activities
  • Possibly expand supervision responsibilities beyond cybersecurity in future
Required hard skills:
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO27001, ISA/IEC 62443 or equivalent standards
  • Experience in security audits or reviews of information security, IT systems, or cyber-physical systems
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ISO27001 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor, or ISA/IEC 62443 certifications
