Senior Project Manager in IT Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in IT Infrastructure to lead feasibility studies ahead of a major implementation project of shared IT services across multiple departments for a public sector client in Stockholm. The role involves full responsibility for the feasibility study process from planning and analysis to reporting and handover, including both leadership and operational tasks such as information gathering, interviews, workshops, and compiling scenarios and recommendations.
Main requirements:
  • At least 15 years of broad experience in IT infrastructure including networks, server environments, security, identity and access management (e.g., Active Directory, Entra).
  • Experience leading at least four complex IT infrastructure projects involving implementation, migration, transition or transformation.
  • Academic degree in computer science, industrial economics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Documented knowledge in project management methodologies such as PPS, PMI, Prince2 or equivalent.
  • Experience managing budgets, cost calculations, and financial analyses.
  • Experience in supplier and contract negotiations.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, lead and monitor feasibility studies in two phases: overarching and business/technical.
  • Identify needs, risks, and adjustments related to IT infrastructure and business operations.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with management, steering groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure smooth transition to the implementation project phase.
