Opportunity to work as an IT Technician in the public sector, responsible for daily IT operations, network management, and user support. The role involves maintaining and developing local network environments, troubleshooting, ensuring data security, and handling IT equipment and software related to communication and backup systems.
Main requirements:
  • High school or equivalent education plus four years of relevant work experience, OR higher education in IT (e.g., computer engineering) plus at least two years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication and information security
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
  • Experience with incident management systems (e.g., Easit GO or ServiceNow)
  • Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily IT operations function properly
  • Troubleshoot and assess best ways to resolve faults
  • Act as local IT technician focusing on operation and development of local network environment and intra-building computer communication
  • Provide user support and assistance
  • Manage data communication, operations, and information security in large network environments, sometimes globally
  • Test new products and inform users of updates
  • Install and configure network communication equipment such as routers, servers, and workstations
  • Work to ensure IT operations security, including installing firewalls
  • Install and tailor software for network use
  • Technically manage IT equipment in conference rooms, e.g., video meeting systems
  • Handle backup management
  • Administer standard systems including mail and calendar
  • Administer backup, storage and application servers
Required hard skills:
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals
  • Understanding of operating systems and networks
