Senior Payroll System Specialist

We are looking for a curious and committed payroll specialist who wants to help shape the future of payroll work. The role involves system expertise, economic connections, and development within the payroll area. The position is located in Gävle or Solna, Sweden and is full-time.
Main requirements:
  • Experience in payroll work with a good understanding of the connection between payroll, economy, and systems.
  • Good knowledge of payroll and time reporting systems, payroll management, and payroll system administration.
  • Experience with digitalization and streamlining of payroll processes.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to development and improvement of payroll processes focusing on digitalization, automation, and smarter working methods.
  • Support managers and employees by acting as an adviser in payroll matters and ensuring professional and accessible internal customer service.
  • Participate as part of the payroll system group promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous competence development.
  • Work with HRM software and Medvind WFM.
  • Travel may be required.
Required hard skills:
  • Payroll system management and administration
  • Expertise in payroll and time reporting systems
  • Excel proficiency
  • Bilingual in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with large system projects and development work, preferably focusing on automation
  • Ability to create and update documentation and manuals
  • Experience in training or supporting colleagues in system use
  • Knowledge of labor law, collective agreements, and legislation related to payroll
