Malmö city's alarm center is seeking operational shift leaders skilled in leadership, technical understanding, and community engagement to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role involves leading and supporting alarm operators, managing stressful situations, prioritizing actions, and communicating clearly internally and externally.
Main requirements:
- Approved secondary education and at least 60 higher education credits in areas such as leadership, security, social sciences, or technology.
- Experience in an operational leadership role.
- Ability to handle rapid developments under pressure.
- Excellent command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Technical understanding and experience working with digital operational systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support alarm operators during daily operations.
- Create structure and prioritize responses during stressful situations.
- Ensure staffing and call in substitutes if necessary.
- Assign work tasks to maintain 24/7 operation.
- Coordinate emergency events and collaborate with other stakeholders.
- Maintain clear, structured, and situation-adapted communication internally and externally.
- Monitor technical systems and document events in shift leader reports.
- Contribute to improvement of routines, methods, and technology.
- Participate in meetings and forums, actively contributing to personal and organizational development.
Required hard skills:
- Leadership experience in operational settings.
- Technical knowledge related to digital operational systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Swedish (spoken and written).
Recommended hard skills:
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
