Network/Server Specialist

An experienced network and server specialist is sought to contribute to a technically focused feasibility study aiming to strengthen the availability and operational reliability of a web platform. The assignment aims to identify deficiencies and propose measures that prevent the platform from being overloaded and crashing during traffic peaks. As a technical specialist, you are expected to participate in the entire analysis and improvement process – from troubleshooting and requirements analysis to design of solution proposals and implementation. You will contribute your expertise in networking, load balancing, firewall management, and operating systems, with the goal to create a scalable, secure, and proactive infrastructure.
Main requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills and experience troubleshooting complex web systems and environments.
  • Experience administering firewalls and load balancing for web applications.
  • Deep understanding of network structure, performance optimization, and security aspects.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and managing security protocols.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems.
  • Ability to document technical solutions clearly, structured, and pedagogically.
  • Excellent Swedish and English language skills, both oral and written.
  • Updated and relevant CV clearly demonstrating competencies aligned with assignment requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing web platform to identify causes of performance problems and disruptions under high load.
  • Develop recommendations for technical improvements in network architecture, server environment, scalability, security, and monitoring.
  • Identify alarm points and create proposals for warning thresholds to detect issues before they affect availability.
  • Contribute solution proposals for implementation, including cost, time, and resource estimation.
  • Suggest improvements in workflows, communication flows, and monitoring points to promote a more proactive IT approach.
