The Police Authority is seeking a Network Specialist to join the camera technical systems group to deliver world-class solutions. The role involves developing and operating the national camera platform and its network infrastructure, contributing to crime reduction and public safety. The position is based in Stockholm, offers flexible working hours and remote work options, and is part of a large IT department serving 40,000 employees.
Main requirements:
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience assessed as equivalent by the Police Authority
  • Professional experience in network and infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of Swedish
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Swedish citizenship
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the network infrastructure supporting the national camera platform
  • Troubleshoot network infrastructure
  • Handle and troubleshoot communication solutions
  • Participate in developing technical solutions for operational needs both short and long term
Required hard skills:
  • Network and infrastructure management
  • Knowledge of network lifecycle management of firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN solutions
  • Protocols such as SNMP, MQTT, WMI
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with video management systems (VMS)
