Main requirements:
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and development
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis, strength calculations, and materials science
  • Experience in prototyping and designing for manufacturability
  • Strong interest in aviation, drones, and defense technology
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Swedish language skills are a bonus)
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop lightweight mechanical structures and aerodynamic components for UAS platforms
  • Optimize material selection and construction methods for strength, performance, and manufacturability
  • Rapid prototyping, iterative design, and testing of mechanical systems in lab and real flight conditions
  • Collaborate closely with electronics, avionics, and systems engineers to create integrated, mission-ready platforms
  • Contribute through all phases from initial concept generation to validation and production readiness
