IT Technician with expertise in operations and networking

Work as an IT Technician in the public sector, responsible for daily IT operations and network management, supporting users, and ensuring IT security.
Main requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of similar work experience, or a higher education degree in IT with minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • Very good knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security
  • Basic skills in MS Office or equivalent
  • Knowledge of issue management systems (e.g. Easit GO, ServiceNow)
  • Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily IT operations function smoothly
  • Perform troubleshooting and determine best solutions
  • Serve as local IT technician handling network environment and intra-building computer communication
  • Provide support and assistance to users
  • Manage data communication, operations, and security in large network environments, sometimes global
  • Test new products and inform users
  • Install and configure network communication devices such as routers, servers, and workstations
  • Work to secure IT operations, including installing firewalls
  • Install and adapt software for network integration
  • Manage technical IT equipment in conference rooms including video meeting systems
  • Handle backup management
  • Administer standard systems like email and calendar
  • Manage backup, storage, and application servers
