An experienced IT consultant is sought for the Department of Quality and Development, Unit for Digitalization and IT at the Elderly, Care and Welfare Administration in Gothenburg City. The role involves supporting operations related to IT issues, technical solutions, and infrastructure, acting as a key resource to identify needs and opportunities, improve service and availability, and ensure digital solutions effectively meet operational demands.
Main requirements:
- Experience working in client-facing IT roles including management of server infrastructure, license management, and IT security.
- Good understanding of the organization and governance of municipal operations, and experience working in politically governed organizations.
- Ability to quickly understand the operational goals and core values.
- Strong communicative skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good presentation and organizational skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to present complex IT solutions pedagogically.
Responsibilities:
- Act in a client ordering role with strong understanding of IT infrastructure, from robust fiber and building networks to wireless data communications.
- Support new constructions and renovations by specifying requirements and coordinating IT solutions.
- Develop and realize operational solutions in close cooperation with suppliers.
- Contribute to the strategic work of the unit and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Work operationally with the unit's mission and contribute to structuring and transferring knowledge to other employees in an orderly manner.
Required hard skills:
- IT infrastructure knowledge including fiber networks, building networks, wireless communication.
