Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to build both team and platform at Zendr. This role combines leadership with technical involvement, focusing on team support, coaching, and ensuring conditions for success while contributing to the codebase.
Main requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in technical teams with at least 2 years as an Engineering Manager or similar role.
  • Experience coaching and developing technical teams.
  • Good technical understanding with ability to discuss technology with developers.
  • Experience giving feedback and driving career development.
  • Ability to create structure and follow up deliveries sustainably.
Responsibilities:
  • Coach and support the development team through 1:1 meetings, feedback, and career development.
  • Participate in the delivery process ensuring smooth sprint planning, follow-ups, and workflows.
  • Actively build and develop strong teams.
  • Serve as a technical sounding board and contribute to the codebase where needed.
  • Collaborate closely with product and tech to keep direction clear and teams focused.
  • Drive improvement work related to work processes, collaboration, and sustainable delivery.
  • Communicate team wellbeing, capacity, and development needs to CTO.
Required hard skills:
  • Technical understanding sufficient to discuss with developers.
  • Experience in technical team leadership and coaching.
  • Familiarity with delivery processes such as sprint planning and follow-up.
