Technical Project Manager at ST Airborne Systems

Lead technically advanced projects that make a real difference in the world at ST Airborne Systems, a world-leading company in airborne surveillance systems. Play a key role in driving deliveries to customers globally and be involved in the entire project lifecycle from planning to deployment. The systems are used in critical societal missions such as protecting natural resources, supporting search and rescue operations, combating piracy, and monitoring environmental impact.
Main requirements:
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent technical background
  • Several years of experience in a technically close role involving hardware, software or systems
  • Strong technical understanding and willingness to take overall responsibility throughout project phases
  • Structured, initiative-taking and confident in collaboration and independent work
  • Integrity and ability to stand by opinions under pressure
  • Leadership with clarity, responsiveness and solution orientation in communication
  • Proactive working style combining technology, leadership and customer contact
  • Good pedagogical skills, cooperation willingness and social competence
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the project's technical and economic success
  • Monitor costs and maintain budgets, report financial deviations
  • Plan project execution and resource needs
  • Plan and drive design, development, system integration, testing and verification
  • Lead acceptance testing at factory and customer site
  • Train customers on delivered systems, contribute to documentation and requirements management
